Joint Board Disciplinary Proposal

On May 25, 2011, the following statement was released to ACOPA members:

Members and Fellows of the ASPPA College of Pension Actuaries,

One of the issues ACOPA members are being presented with in the ACOPA election that opened Friday, July 22nd and closes Monday, August 8th, is approval of proposed changes to the joint discipline process that applies to members of the five U.S. based actuarial organizations. Updated Q&As were posted on the ACOPA website last week. [Here], for your review, is a letter from the presidents of all five organizations, with information on the revised Q&As and an updated draft agreement.

On May 11, 2011, the following statement was released to ACOPA members:

Members and Fellows of the ASPPA College of Pension Actuaries,

The five U.S.-based actuarial organizations, including the ASPPA College of Pension Actuaries, have been engaged in a review of the current disciplinary procedures that apply to the members of all five organizations.  [Here] for your review is a letter from the presidents of all five organizations, with information on the proposed changes. 

Although not required by the ACOPA Interim Operating Procedures or ASPPA bylaws, the ACOPA Leadership Council has approved presenting these proposed changes for approval of the membership in conjunction with the regular annual elections that will open in late July.
