Education and Examination Overview
Comprehensive Education and Examination (E&E) programs are offered by ASPPA for its members and other retirement plan professionals because career and industry advancement are distinguishing characteristics of all ASPPA activities. Dedicated to providing practical and scholastic education programs, the curriculum is carefully expanded and improved each year to address legal, legislative and regulatory changes affecting the pension system and the work of retirement plan professionals.
The E&E programs are made up of Examinations and Modules, Live and Recorded Courses and Publications that lead to professional credentials and certificates of completion. There is no specific educational or background requirements required for individuals who want to pursue ASPPA's education programs. Any person interested in pension consulting, administration or employee benefits may be an examination candidate.

E&E constantly updates its education program to reflect changes in the rules, regulations and practices in the retirement plan industry. For each course of study offered, E&E annually reviews and updates key topics, learning objectives and syllabi as well as the textbooks and other reading and preparatory materials to support the educational goals of its members and exam candidates.
